Saraswati Puja Celebration at VKV Tezpur

With tremendous  cooperation from  Parents,  School bus/ van drivers and well-wishers the Vidyalaya celebrated sraswati puja. Students and all other attendees offered pushpanjali to the goddess. Parents sang bhajan making the ambience devotional. At the end of the puja Prasad and Bhog was distributed among around 1100 devotees. VKV Tezpur family is appreciative to all the parents drivers and well-wishers for their effort and support.

Shilpi Diwas at VKV Tezpur



Class IV Students were taken to the Samadhi Sthal of Jyotiprasad Agarwala where they paid tribute to Roop Kuwnar by offering Fulam Gamusa and Flower. The students were fortunate enough to interact with daughter & daughter-in-law of Shri Agarwala.

Mahatma Gandhi's grandson visited VKV Tezpur


  Saturday, 6th January, 2018- this day will always be a day to be remembered for VKV Tezpur family as through the sheer effort of Sri O.P Bagaria and his family Prof. Rajmohan Gandhi,  a scholar, historian, biographer, Journalist and  grandson of Mahatma Gandhi along with his better half Smt Usha Gandhi visited our Vidyalaya. Prof. Gandhi, in his short dialogue delivered a profound message through a few anecdotes to the students and the teachers. He stressed that the idea of patriotism involves loving India & Indians both.  Sri Debi Prasad Bagrodia, a well-known literary figure of Assam and his Bangaluru based son Pravir Bagrodia were also present in the session.

Inaugural Ceremony of Annual Sports Week (2017-18)



The school inaugurated its Annual Sports Week with grand success & enthusiasm with the presence of Dr. Sukhdev Adhikari, Principal, Lookanayak Amiyo Das College, Dhekiajuli and Mrs. Anu Devi Mahanta, Ex Vice-Principal, Bihaguri Boys Higher Secondary School and Chairwoman, Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School, who is an internationally acclaimed athlete as chief guest and guest of honor respectively. They along with the Principal paid homage to all the martyrs for the ongoing occasion of Samartaha Bharat Parva. The speeches delivered by the chief guest and the guest of honor touched the hearts of each and every audience as they emphasized the importance of Physical Education as a part of real education to achieve the pinnacle of success.

13 nos. of nearby Village Headman and 7 nos. of nearby Freedom fighter’s family were felicitated as the observation of Samartha Bharat Parva is going on. Beginning with Mangalacharan and followed by torching of flame and March-Past, the cultural programmes such as- Gita Chanting, dance performance  by KG students, Yoga & Exercise, a programme on India’s achievement, Vurtal Nritya and a procession on Swaccha Bharat  added immense glamour to it. The programme was graced with 400 attendees.
