It was such an auspicious juncture that 71st Independence Day of India and Shri Krishna Janmasthami fell on the same day. Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Tezpur Celebrated both occasions with full gusto. The day started with hoisting of the tricolour; Students displayed march-past and patriotic song- “Chalo Jawano” was sung by all the students. Students clad as freedom fighters came on stage and galvanised all the audience with patriotic sloganeering. Rajesh Sarkar, Drawing Teacher of the Vidyalaya gave tribute to our motherland by performing a speed art.
.Students presented a beautiful skit on “Baal-leela” of Lord Krishna. Dahi -Handi was organised for both students and parents. The event was successful with presence of around 550 attendees.
