Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Tezpur at Karmaveer Chandranath Sarmah Smriti Bhawan, Bihaguri. Dr. Palashmani Saikia, Principal of Darrang College was the chief guest. Smt. Minakshi Goswami, Principal of Chandranath Sarmah Higher Secondary School, Tumuki was the guest of honour. The chief guest highlighted the contribution of Swami Vivekananda. He also narrated the qualities of the great person. He stressed that the younger generation must bear the responsibility of taking the Nation forward. He asked the students to be strong in mind and body. The guest of honour said that the students must inculcate good habits and serve the country .
The program was attended by members of VMC, well wishers
and parents.
There was a presentation of colourful items which
included deliberation, of Chicago speech, thoughts of Swami Vivekananda.
Besides these, students performed a group song, Sattriya dance, Naam and folk
dance of different communities were staged.
Parents and well wishers expressed their satisfaction on
the performance of students. They suggested that such programmes should be
organized for the public which awares the people about the ideology of
Swamiji.
Around 400 people attended the celebration.
