Go As You Like for KG Students

Go as you like competition was held among class KG Students. Students appeared in different outfits to present themselves in different roles.  Su. Lakshmi Agarwal, Social Worker & Su. Ananya Borah, Sattriya Dancer judged the event.

Gandhi And Shastri Jayanri Celebration

Gandhi & Shastri jayanti was observed at the Vidyalaya. The students performed an act displaying "Gadhiji's Three Monkeys" representing "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil". An interaction session was held where various aspects from the lives of these two great sons of Mother India were discussed.

Universal Brotherhood Day and Sankardev Tithi At School

Universal Brotherhood Day and Srimanta Sankardev Tithi fell on the same day and the Vidyalaya successfully conducted  two separate programs for each of the occasions.
        One of the teachers delivered the significance of "Universal Brotherhood" and Swamiji's appeal for the same. Students replicated the historic lecture of Swamiji in Chicago.

        Naam-Prasanga  was performed on the occasion of Srimanta Sankardev Tithi. One of the teachers reiterated the relevance of Sankardeva's philosophy and teachings in our lives.

Mathematics Workshop By T R Jyotirlingam At School

Shri T R Jyotirlingam, retd. Railway Superintended, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India  conducted a 2 hour long session on the topic of "Fun Maths & Mind Games". 70 students participated in the workshop. Sri Jyotirlingam has already conducted mathematics program in 160 schools of the country including 10 VKVs.  Nearly 40 thousand students have attended his classes.

Teachers' Day-2018

Students of Class IX shouldered the responsibility of Celebrating of Teachers' day. Each student from class IX conducted classes in different standards. Teacher were felicitated by the students.

The Vidyalaya celebrated Shri Krishna Janmastami. Students sang Krishna Bhajan, KG Students diplayed Sri Krishana Bal-leeala. Students also played dahi-handi sport.

SCHOLASTIC BOOK FARE AT SCHOOL


The Vidyalaya in association with Scholastic Publication house organised a 2-day book fare on August 30 & 31, 2018. Assamese, Hindi and English language books on variety of subjects for different standards were displayed.

RAKSHA BANDHAN-2018

The Vidyalaya celebrated Raksha Bandhan at school premises with students. A group of students escorted by teacher went to AISF Campus to tie Rakhi to the Jawans of AISF. Another group of students went to Nabaprabhat orphanage and tied Rakhi to the children there.

VACCINATION DRIVE AGAINST RUBELLA

Vaccination drive against Rubella was conducted at school on 24th August, 2018 which was an exercise of Govt of Assam under the supervision of WHO PRTE for the Northeast. Trained health department workers , ASHA workers and Anganwadi workers were present to conduct the campaign. total 505 students were vaccinated against Rubella on that day

VKSPV ANNUAL PRINCIPALS' MEET-2018 HELD AT VKV TEZPUR

VKSPV Annual Principals' Meet-2018 was held at VKV Tezpur from  August 12 to 14, 2018. The occasion was graced by the presence of Ma. A Balakrishnanji, Vice-President, Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari; Ma. D. Bhanudasji,  General Secretary, Vivekanada Kendra, Kanyakumari; Ma. Pravin Dabholkarji, Jt. General Secretary, Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari; Ma. Rebati Devi Didi, Jt Secretary, VKSPV and all the principals of the VKVs from Assam & Nagaland.

Swami Vivekananda's Punytaithi-2018

On the occasion of swamiji’s punyatithi, the Vidyalaya in collaboration with Forest Department, Sonitpur organised  69th Vanmahotsav. Sjt Debabrat Gogoi, Range officer, Tezpur Sadar Range was the chief coordinator of the event.  The program started with the customs and rituals of the vidyalaya. Sjt Parag Kakoti, ADC was the chief guest of the event with whom Dr Jyotikamal Hazarika, Principal, Tezpur college; Ranjit Kunwar, DFO, Sonitpur West Division; Priyasa Saikia, ACF;  Saurav Barkakoti, wildlife warden, Prema Nath, Commandant, AISF; sonitpur; Dilip Nath, RTI activist; Suraj Nath, Deputy Range Officer; Arup Kalita, Journalist were present adding elegance to the event. Each and every one present in programme offered Pushpanjali to Swamiji commemorating his life and work and his love for Mother India and the world.  The guests in their lectures mainly focused on conservation of forests for our own sake.

               The Forest Department, on the very day organised a tree plantation drive and  a drawing competition among the students in which a few nearby schools also participated.

International Day of Yoga-2018

The Vidyalaya observed International Day of Yoga with great enthusiasm. Two teams from the school were sent to ITBP camp and Dipota Girls M.E. School where the students performed Yogasanas along with other participants encouraging them to practice it regularly.

Last two periods were utilised to observe Rabha Diwas by organising Rabha Sangeet singing competition among the interested students. One of the teachers made the students aware about the life-history of Bishnu Prasad Rabha.

World Environment Day-2018

Last two periods were utilised to observe World Environment Day-2018. One of the teachers delivered a speech regarding the significance of the day. Respected principal Smt. Rupanjali Barthakur Didi planted saplings along with teachers and students. Different Competitions were organised for different classes to enhance the their knowledge related to environment-
  • Colouring competition for classes II & III.
  • Paragraph writing on ‘cleanliness’ for classes IV. 
  • Extempore speech for class V
  • Poem competition for class VI & VII
  • Debate for class VIII & IX

PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT CAMP-2018

The Vidyalaya organised “Personality Development Camp-2018” for the students of class VI. It was inaugurated by our respected Sangeeta Devi Didi.
      
              In the first day of PDC students were divided into four ganas i.e. Kapili, Dhanshiree, Patkai, Nilachal; and each group consisting into 10 members.  One of our teachers Geeta Rai Didi gave light on the topic Swamiji as our hero. She explained the ideology of Swamiji through few stories related to courage, petriotisim. After that students were asked to discuss among them about the topic. Then the students practiced yoga and they were guided by Bitu Saikia sir, teacher ,VKV Tezpur. They were also taught the Shibir Geet by Sangeeta Devi Didi, perticipants were taught and encouraged how to conduct Samskar Varga along with some team building games. At last the first day camp ended with Bhajan practice and Kendra Prarthana. Total no of student was 39.
            On the second day of PDC, the resource persons were Dr. R. N. Pal, Vibhag Sanchalak, V. K. Tezpur and Darrang district and Su. Riju Pathak. The both interacted with students and enlightened about Bharat Mata and also explained how to develop their personality and as well as career. In Karyasala Satra students were presented the main points from the Bouddhik Satra followed by practice of shlokas under the guidance of one of our teachers. The attendance on the 2nd day was 38.

            On the third day, Su. Mandira Sing Das, Asst. teacher, VKV Tezpur illumined the students with the life history of Sister Nivedita, and also displayed a short animated story based on Sister Nivedita. In the third day of PDC total no presence was 35.
            On the fourth day, resource person Namami Sharma, Assistant Prof, Dept. Of Social Work, Tezpur University, verbalized about Swacchata as a way of life, she presented the topic through a power point presentation. The total number of presence was 37.
            On the Samapan Samaroh of the camp, the invited chief guest Surendra Dugar, Chartered Accountant, Tezpur delivered a valuable speech regarding personality development. The students shared their experience and parents too shared their opinion regarding the camp. The programme ended with Geet Abhyas and Kendra Prayer.

Srimanta Sankardev Prajna Partiyogita-2018

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Assam Prant, Branch: Tezpur in collaboration with Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Tezpur organised Srimanta Sankardev Prajna Pratiyogita 2018- a competition pursuing the natural faculty among students from standard IV to X on 6th May, 2018. The participants were divided into three groups according to the standards they read in. Around 310 students participated in drawing, quiz and essay writing competition across 6 centres including Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Tezpur.

NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY 2018

VKV Tezpur organised one Science Exhibition among its students on the occasion of National science Day 2018. Students came up with many innovative ideas such as "Battery less Smart Inverter", "Home Electric display Board","Eno Balloon" etc. The purpose of this exhibition was to develop scientific temperament among the students.
