National Mathematics Day , 22nd December 2022

National Mathematics Day is observed annually on December 22nd to mark the anniversary of the eminent mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan's birth.

Mathematics Day was observed on 2nd December 2022 in vidyalaya premises (Both Primary and Secondary) . Different mathematics game was held among the students .

Geeta Jayanti , 3rd December 2022

 Gita Mahotsav or Gita Jayanti is an event which was observed on 3rd December at school premises.It is believed the Bhagavad Gita was revealed to Arjuna by Krishna in the battlefield of Kurukshetra.According the Hindi calendar it is celebrated on the Shukla Ekadashi, the 11th day of the waxing moon of the Margashirsha (Agrahayan) month.

On this suspicious occasion Geeta Gyan Pratiyogita was organized at school premises.





Asom Divas

Asom Diwas was observed on 2nd December 2022 in vidyalaya premises. It commemorates the arrival of the founder and first King of the Ahom kingdom Sukhapaa in the territory of ancient Assam, which is one of the country's largest states with over 30 million people today. Asom Diwas also known as Sukaphaa Divas.

On this occasion speech given by one of the teacher and highlighted the importance of the day also one poem recited by teacher of our vidyalaya.


Lachit Diwas , 24 November 2022

 Lachit Diwas was observed on 24th November 2022 in Assam to commemorate the heroism of Lachit Borphukan and the victory of the Assamese army at the Battle of Saraighat. Speech, recitation and a skit were performed on the occasion in vidyalaya premises.The day is celebrated to promote the ideals of Lachit Borphukan – the legendary general of Assam's history.


Sadhana Diwas , 19 November

Sadhana Divas was celebrated in the Vidyalaya to commemorate Mananeeya Eknath Ranade’s contribution. A short speech was delivered and a patriotic song was performed by the students. An inter – house quiz competition was organized for the secondary section.



Children's Day , 20 November 2022

 Children’s day was celebrated. Dance, song and speeches were a part of the agenda. Members of the Rotary Club of  Tezpur offered the prizes to the winners. House -wise  kho-Kho and Kabaddi were conducted for the secondary section.




GPP Felicitation Programme , 9th November 2022

 A felicitation programme for the achievers of Ganit Prajna Pariksha (GPP) of our school was organized on 9th November 2022. Chief guest for the programme was Dipankar Bora,Mathematics Department, Govt Girls Higher Secondary And Multipurpose School, Tezpur. He spoke about the importance of mathematics and explain about how to tackle with maths in easiest way.


Guru Nanak Jayanti ,8th November 2022

 

Guru Nanak Jayanti was observed on 8th November 2022. A student delivered a speech on the life and contribution of Guru Nanak. An inter -class quiz compition was organized.



Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Death Anniversary,5th November

Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Death Anniversary was observed at Vidyalaya premises.He was a such unique and blessed individual. November 5 marks the death anniversary of Bhupen Hazarika, fondly called Sudhakantha, one of the most revered music artists in the country. 

One of the student performed as well as speech given by the teacher on this suspicious occasions.

Gandhi Jayanti & Shastri Jayanti , 2nd October , 2022

Gandhi & Shastri jayanti was observed at the Vidyalaya. The students performed an act displaying "Gadhiji's Three Monkeys" representing "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil". Speech given by teachers' as well as the students on this suspicious occasion.

Universal Brotherhood Day , 10th September , 2022

 Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Tezpur at Karmaveer Chandranath Sarmah Smriti Bhawan, Bihaguri. Dr. Palashmani Saikia, Principal of Darrang College was the chief guest. Smt. Minakshi Goswami, Principal of Chandranath Sarmah Higher Secondary School, Tumuki was the guest of honour. The chief guest highlighted the contribution of Swami Vivekananda. He also narrated the qualities of the great person. He stressed that the younger generation must bear the responsibility of taking the Nation forward. He asked the students to be strong in mind and body. The guest of honour said that the students must inculcate good habits and serve the country .

The program was attended by members of VMC, well wishers and parents. 

There was a presentation of colourful items which included deliberation, of Chicago speech, thoughts of Swami Vivekananda. Besides these, students performed a group song, Sattriya dance, Naam and folk dance of different communities were staged. 

Parents and well wishers expressed their satisfaction on the performance of students. They suggested that such programmes should be organized for the public which awares the people about the ideology of Swamiji. 

Around 400 people attended the celebration.

Teachers' Day , 5th September , 2022

Teachers' Day is celebrated every year on the 5th of September, which also marks the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was an Indian philosopher and the second President of India. This occasion was celebrated on 5th September in the vidyalaya premises and students perform songs and plays, organizing quiz competition among teachers' by the students.

Eknathji Punya Tithi - 22nd August 2022

 Eknathji Punya Tithi was observed by the Vidyalaya. One of the teachers delivered a speech on the significance of the day. It was followed by a patriotic song and speech by students.

Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev Tithi, 29/08/2022

 The event of Sankardeva Tithi was celebrated on 29th Aug 2022 in the Vidyalaya premises. The event was graced by the performance of Naam by teaching as well as non- teaching staff. Recitation, Boorgeet and Naam were also performed by students.

Krishna Janmashtami,18 August,2022

 The Vidyalaya celebrated Shri Krishna Janmasthami. Students sang Krishna bhajan and performed a colorful dance drama represiting the various incidents from the life of Lord Krishna. Students also played the sport ‘Dahi- Handi.”

Indian Independence Day,15th August,2022

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Tezpur celebrated such an auspicious occasion with full gusto. The day started with hoisting of the tricolor by respected Principal. She then delivered a speech on the occasion. Raksha Bandhan,11th August,2022

Raksha Bandhan is celebrated every year in the vidyalaya. This is a ritual of protection, the greatest gift that siblings give each other.The students were instructed to make rakhis out of waste materials at home.The Vidyalaya celebrated Rakshabandhan at School premises.

Dr. Anirban Pal , Principal scientist of Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic and Dr. Bharti Pal , Principal scientist of Central Institute of Horticulture , Lucknow interacted with the students of Class IX and X.



World Environment Day,5th June , 2022

 



On the occasion of World Environment Day one of the student delivered a speech regarding the significance of the day and One drama was done by Class V students.Along with Art Competition was organised for different classes to enhance the their knowledge related to environment.

Personality Development Camp , 2022

 



A Personality Development Camp was  organized for the students of class VI in our vidyalaya. Prayers , Bouddhik Satra , Yogasana , Geet Abhyas, Manthan, Khel etc. were held for 6 days. The concluding session was graced by Dr. Palashmoni Saikia, Principal of Darrang College , Tezpur.

73rd Republic Day - 26th January , 2022


73rd Republic Day was celebrated in the Vidyalaya premises by the teachers of the Vidyalaya . The Principal unfurled the National Flag. Aadarania Reboti Devi, Jt. Secretary and RAO of VKSPV. Guwahati delivered a speech. She highlighted the responsibilities of teachers in moulding the personality of students. A patrotic song was sung by the staff members.

Silpi Divas - 17 January , 2022

        

The occasion of Silpi Divas was celebrated in the school premises. A teacher delivered a speech  the important of the day also a student delivered a speech highlighted the important of the day. A group song was sung by the students and teachers.

National Youth Day - 12th January , 2022

 
National Youth Day was celebrated to mark 159th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and to promote the idea of Universal Brotherhood. The students divided into 12 groups , headed by teachers were taken to 12 places of Tezpur. Pushpanjali was offered at those places by students, teachers and people of the locality.

Kalpataru Diwas - 1st January , 2022

 The occasion of Kalpataru Diwas was celebrated in the school premises. A teacher delivered a speech highlighting the important of the day. A song was sung by the students and teachers.

Geeta Jayanti - 17th December , 2021


                     Gita Jayanti , 2021 near celebrated on the Vidyalaya premises on 17th of december, 2021.

The event started with a group song. A speech was delivered by the invited chief guest Mr. Chandan Sharma , HOD of sociology , Tezpur University. The Principal of the Vidyalaya also delivered a speech and welcomed all students from primary and secondary students performed geeta chanting.

Assam Divas - 2nd December , 2021


            Assam Divas , 2021 was celebrated on 2nd December 2021 in the vidyalaya premises.

            A speech was delivered by one of a teacher students performed a patriotic song to pay a tribute to Chaolung Sukapha.

Sadhna Divas & Guru Nanak Jayanti -19th November 2021

         Sadhna Divas was celebrated on the Vidyalaya to commemorate mananeya Eknath Ranade. A short speech near delivered and a patriotic song was performed by the student.

         Guru Nanak jayanti was also observed where one of the students delivered a speech on the importance of the day.
