VKV, Tezpur Organises Parivar Sammelan, 2023

With the principle of imparting good values and to preserve our culture, VKV, Tezpur organised Parivar Sammelan on 13/12/2023, in the vidyalaya permises. A total number of 100  parents, 31 teaching and 12 non teaching staffs participated in the programme. Dr. Swapnalija Goswami, from the dept of Philosophy, Darrang College, graced the occasion. She spoke on the importance of parenting and philosophy behind sharing love and culture. Parents sang songs and played different games, showing them different aspects that they need to take up for their children They sat together in groups and shared home-cooked meals to one another. It is important that shared meals provides them space for socialization, community building and helps to strengthen one's bond with one's family. The programme was a grand success.

An Appreciation and Exposure programme for the Achievers of Ganit Prajna Pariksha (GPP) , 2023


An Appreciation and Exposure programme for the Achievers of Ganit Prajna Pariksha (GPP) was conducted at VKV Tezpur from 19th November to 22nd of November 2023. 

On day one, participants from different VKVs, specially from the North Eastern Region, were welcomed by the host-teachers, which was folloed by an introductory session. A Bhajan Sandhya was conducted where both the teachers and students participated.

On the day two, participants were taken to Tezpur University for the inaugural session. Prof. Manabendra Mandal, dean of students welfare, Tezpur University and Adarneeya Alkagouri Didi were present as the chief guests. Thereafter, students are involved with interactive and discussion sessions taken by the professors of Tezpur University.

On the day three, participants were taken to Tezpur University for their presentation and sessions students also had the chance to visit different departments, laboratories and library of the esteemed university. A Bhajan Sandhya was conducted in the Council Hall of Tezpur University followed by their departure to VKV, Tezpur.

On the last day, students had the chance to visit different places and historical site of Tezpur such as - ISI, Tezpur, Agnigarh, Chitralekha Udyaan and Lokpriyo Gopinath Bordoloi Regional Institute of Mental Health, Tezpur. After lunch, they have a concluding session, where Commandant Monal Shah graced the occasion. She addressed the students with her inspirational words and good wishes. After that participant left for theirrespective destination.

Asom Divas, 2nd December 2023

Asom Diwas also known as Sukapha Divas was observed in our vidyalaya on 2nd, December , 2023 to commemorate the advent of Chaolung Sukapha, the first king of Ahom king. The significance of the day was explained by students both from primary and secondary sections. Students also performed patriotic song and recited patriotic poem glorifying the golden chapter in the history of Assam. 


Lachit Divas, 24th November 2023

VKV Tezpur observed Lachit Divas in the Vidyalaya premises. The brave warrior and commander of Ahom Kingdom, was remembered and paid tribute on his birth anniversary. A student from class V sang a 'desh bhakti' song and the teachers explained the life story and historical events of the great warrior. Students also sang a song paying honour and tribute to our great hero.



Sadhana Diwas, 19th November

Sadhna Divas or Eknathji Jyanti was observed at VKV, Tezpur in the fond memory of the founder of Vivekananda Kendra. Teachers paid homage and tribute to the great soul by sharing valuable lessons and life experiences of Mananeeya Eknath Ranadeji. Teachers also sang 'Desh Bhakti' geet followed by a deep meditation internalizing the divine path showed by the Great man of our nation.

Philosophy Day 16 November 2023

World Philosophy Day was observed annually on the third Thursday of November, stands as a testament of the enduring significance of Philosophy in the development of human thought, culture and growth. This year too , VKV Tezpur observed 'Philosophy Day' in collaboration with the Dept of Philosophy of Darrang College. 

Dipanka Sarma , a teacher of the vidyalaya explained the students with idea of 'Vedante' and teachings of Swamiji. Moreover, Smt. Swapnalika Goswami, Associate Professor of the Dept. of Philosophy, Darrang College, highlighted on the importance of philosophy in the contemporary society. The program ended with Shanti Mantra.



Children's Day , 14 November 2023

To mark birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru, children's day was celebrated at VKV Tezpur with great joy and mirth. A special assembly had been conducted by the teachers and they also highlighted the importance of the day.

Teachers performed songs and poem recitation. A 'Go As You Like Presentation' was also held for the students of Class I and II and a friendly 'Kho Kho' match between all the houses.

Lastly a light refreshment was served to all the students.



Gandhi Jayanti & Shastri Jayanti , 2nd October 2023

Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bhadur Shastri Jayanti were celebrated at VKV Tezpur with great enthusiasm and joy. Students performed 'Desh Bhakti' song in both primary and secondary sections. The significance of the day was explained by one of the teachers in the vidyalaya paying honour and tribute to both the legendary figures of our country.

Sankardev's Tirobhav Tithi, 16th September 2023

Sankardev's Tirobhav Tithi was observed in the vidyalaya premises with extreme spiritual and religious zeal. The significance of the day was explained by one of the teachers of the vidyalaya. Two of the teachers also chanted 'Namghosa' in order to pay tribute to the great man. One of the students also performed a devotional song on the occasion. Finally, prasad was distributed to all. 

 

Krishna Janmashtami, 6 September 2023

Krishna Janmasthami is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Krishna, the eight incarnation of Lord Vishnu. To seek blessings of Lord Krishna, V.K.V Tezpur observed "Krishna Janmasthami" on 7th of September, 2023 with joy and mirth. The program began with the aarti to Nandalal, followed by a dance on Ganesh Vandana. Students of Class V also performed a devotional group dance. Then there were a "Go as You Like" competition for nursery and KG students. At last prasad was distributed to all. The program ended with prayer.

 

Universal Brotherhood Day, 2023

 VKV Tezpur celebrated Universal Brotherhood Day on 11th September 2023 at the vidyalaya premises and at Amiya Das Higher Secondary School, Tezpur in memory of Swami Vivekananada's historical speech on September 11, 1893 in the World Parliament of Religions at Chicago. The program began with the lighting of the lamp with the invocation prayer followed by the introduction of the chief guest Smt. Binoo Bhuyan, renowned social worker and welcoming speech by the principal. Aakhya from class VIII presented the historical Chicago speech . Students performed many mixed cultural programs. Moreover, a few students also invoked "VIVEK BANI", good messages of Swamiji at the program.

Teacher's Day , 5th September 2023

Teacher's Day on 5th September to appreciate and acknowledge the efforts and hard work of the teachers in making students a sophisticated and responsible individual. The primary students had performed a beautiful group dance. The students of Class X collaboratively organised a wonderful felicitation program for the teachers. Respected Principal of the vidyalaya delivered a short speech on the significance of the day which was followed by group song and dances by the students.

Raksha Bandhan, 30 Aug, 2023

 Vivekananda Kendra Vidalaya , Tezpur celebrated Rakshabandhan with lots of love and happiness. This year too the students from both primary and secondary observed this auspicious occasion by typing rakhi on their brothers hands. Some students from the primary block also went to ITBP camp and AISF camp to tie rakhi on soldiers wrist in order to thank them for their tireless efforts to protect secure our country.

Personality Development Camp , 2023

A personality development camp was organized for the students of Class VI in our vidyalaya premises. The camp involved different activities such as Prayers, Bouddhik Satra, Yogasana, Geet Abhyas, Manthan, Khel etc which was held for 5 days from 16/08/2023 To 21/08/2023 . The concluding session was graced by the guest Sri Sarangapani Saikia , an ex-vkvian of Golaghat. He is the Deputy Manager of APDCL Tezpur.

He delivered a motivational speech urging the students to imbibe qualities of head and heart and won harder for a successful future. 






77th Independence Day , 15/08/2023

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Tezpur celebrated 77th Independence Day of India as a reminder of the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters to make India independent from the the British rule.                                

The auspicious day was celebrated in the vidyalaya premises with the hoisting of flag by respected Principal didi then she delivered speech gracing the occasion. It was followed by patriotic songs and dances.

International Yoga Day , 21st June 2023

 International Yoga Day was celebrated by the students and teachers in the Vidyalaya premises with great enthusiasm. Students of Class I to X demonstrated various yoga asana. Warm up exercises were taken and all the students performed sitting and standing asana, importance of these were explained simultaneously.







Rabha Divas , 20th June 2023

The death anniversary of Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha was observed on 20th June inside the Vidyalaya premises. The welcoming speech and purpose of the day was delivered by one of the teachers of Vidyalaya. The students also performed a group song i.e 'Rabha Sangeet' to pay tribute to the legendary cultural and literacy icon of our country.


Environment Day , 5th June 2023

 With an objective to encourage general awareness and action for the environment , the Vidyalaya observed World's Environment Day on 5th June. Students of IX and X started the day by cleaning  the school premises and its campus. After that an extempore speech competition was held for all the house dealing with some current environmental topics. A group song and  a skit play were also performed by the primary students.    

Cleanliness Program , 4th June 2023

On the occasion of World's Environment Day, a cleanliness drive was conducted on 4th of June by VKV Tezpur. All the teaching and non-teaching staffs of the Vidyalaya went to a nearby locality for cleaning the streets, lanes and by-lanes to remove garbage's and plastic materials form the road.


Painting Competition , 31st May 2023

An Art Competition for the students of Class VI to VIII was organized on 31st of May inside the Vidyalaya premises. The competition was organized by Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture in collaboration with VKSPV.

Vidyarambha , 31st March 2023

 

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya , Tezpur organized Vidya Arambh ceremony to extent warm welcome to the parents and our tiny tots. The ceremony began with 'Aarti' by the teachers to welcome the newcomers. The teachers also sang 'Ganesh Bhajan' to seek blessing of the Almighty. The students are also fed honey and sweets and are taught to write first letter of their mother-tongue by the teachers.

Lokarpan Ceremony 22nd 2023

 Lokarpan Ceremony Celebrated in Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Tezpur on 22nd 2023.The ceremony was graced by the Deputy Commissioner of Sonitpur District, Mr Dev Kumar Mishra, Sri Bhanudas Dhakras, General secretary of Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Vivekanand Kendra and Sri Prabin Dabholkar, All India Treasurer of Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari were the distinguished guests. Esteemed donors were felicitated on the occasion. Some cultural items were also staged.
